You Did It!
over 7 years ago – Mon, May 29, 2017 at 06:43:11 PM

Woo Hoo!

You did it! You made the LiftRider campaign successful beyond my wildest dreams! We exceeded 440% of our goal! We raised $44,050!

Thank you so much for backing this project and for spreading the word. So many of you shared with your friends and family. It really paid off.

I am so excited to make your LiftRiders for you. The new version will incorporate tons of feedback and great suggestions from all of you who rode with our production prototypes this season. It is gonna be so sweet!

We will definitely have 2 color options and I will try my best to get 3. I think one more color survey will be in order before we finalize.

I am headed to our factory on Wednesday. I will keep you posted as the project moves along!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Sani

P.S. If you know anyone who missed out and still wants one, you can still pre-order here. www.liftrider.me.

Only a Few Days Left!
over 7 years ago – Mon, May 22, 2017 at 11:25:19 AM

So Close and Yet So Far!

There are only a few days left in the LiftRider fundraiser.

I wanted to keep you in the loop, because we're still under our first stretch goal of $45,000.

We set our goal at $45,000 for the bare minimum it takes to create a LiftRider with colors you want that supports skiers and snowboarders from all over the world to truly enjoy their day on the slopes.

I knew it was ambitious. Now, I know it’s critical. And I’ll be completely honest -- I’m not positive we’re going to hit it. As of this morning, we are still $5,000 short of getting our stretch goal funded, with only a few short hours remaining.

It is time to pull out all the stops so we can get over the hump together!

What about getting another LR as a Christmas present for a friend or family member? Grab another one now!

Tell everyone you know that they are about to miss out if they don’t act quickly.

Custom Parts for Insanity Straps Going to Fab!

In our prototype version of LiftRider I used an off the shelf cam buckle to implement my insanity strap adjustment invention.

I love how the straps worked this season but I knew I could do even better! So I designed a custom part that makes the design insanely great. It allows us to have a single button for both the magnetic clasp and the push button release rather than the 2 buttons in the production prototype. And it feels simply incredible to use.

The moulds for our new parts below are being manufactured this week! I can’t wait till you can try the new system it is really awesome.

Fabric Samples Arrived!

I got large swatches of our fabric this week and I think it is really gorgeous! I know you are going to love it. Please do everything you can to help us reach our stretch goals so we can offer the pack in as many colors as possible.

Other Kickstarter Projects

Here are some other projects I have found on Kickstarter that I like and you might find interesting...

Urban Prints | Experience the World Through Design

We came across this inspirational campaign and just had to share it with you.

These fine art prints map the details of urban cities from all over the world in a breathtaking black and white minimalism. They’re perfect to admire and inspire in any home, office, or gallery! Check them out HERE

HoverBike

Help HoverBike make some lives easier.

The Hoverbike is a bike powered by a Hoverboard! There is already a huge market for Hoverboards, and the Hoverbike provides an additional use to it. It’s a fun and safe mode of transport suitable for about anyone to ride.

They have had great feedback, especially from the elderly and disabled community as it is a good alternative to mobilize without losing the 'cool' touch. This is the link to their LIVE Kickstarter campaign: http://kck.st/2qxk6TY

LiftRider Color - Your votes are in!
over 7 years ago – Wed, May 17, 2017 at 04:02:56 PM

Vote count

Well your votes are in and here is the tally.

No, pink didn’t win :)

I know the colors in the pie chart from google surveys are a bit misleading. You need to read the legend carefully :)

The winner by a huge margin was Black and Grey (not pink which was actually most hated).

Here are the top 4 in order:

48% Black & Grey

13% Red & Black

11% Blue

11% Orange

10% Green (my favorite)

How many color options can we make?

Great question.

It all depends on how much we raise!

I did some math and here is the deal:

As of today we have raised $35,000! Thank you so much to all of you who helped make this possible by backing us and by sharing with your friends! It is really incredible to see all of you pulling together like this to make this dream come true. Awesome!

If we raise $45,000 we can make the top 2 colors.

If we raise $60,000 we can make the top 3 colors.

If we raise $75,000 we can make the top 4 colors.

I want desperately to provide us with as many color options as I can. So please, please do everything in your power to share LiftRider with your friends who would appreciate it. Help us hit our $75,000 target and make the 4 top colors!

Take a moment and please share now:

Colors Take Two
over 7 years ago – Fri, May 12, 2017 at 07:22:47 PM

Colors Take Two

Thank you for completing the first color survey!

Here is what we learned...

It looks like your favorite color based on your write-ins may not have been one of the color choices I gave you. In fact it is not even a color at all!

Many of you wrote in asking for black and grey. So many wrote-in in fact that I am concerned that Black/Grey may actually be a winner in a new competition with the other colors.

Silly me. I left it out of the first round because it is my least favorite. Lesson learned: don’t let my personal tastes influence subjective decisions :)

So for all you aparent Darth Vader fans out there we are going to have to run the vote one more time including Black/Grey.

If you voted in the last round please, please, please vote again in this new survey to keep the numbers consistent and fair. If you didn’t vote and you do care about color please vote!

Please CLICK HERE FOR THE NEW SURVEY

See the color samples below.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Orange

Green

Blue

Purple

 Pink

Red & Black

Black & Grey

Sharing is Caring!

Remember MORE VOLUME = MORE COLOR CHOICES.

Sorry to sound like a broken record. But please take a moment now and think. Is there anyone I know who would appreciate LiftRider? Please post on facebook and tag them in the post!
